Ben Harvey-Lovell — Mercury NZ Ltd
Differentiation and standing out
Last year, Mercury Energy and Mighty River Power were consolidated under a single new brand - Mercury NZ Ltd. This was much more than a corporate rebadging exercise. Mercury changed everything from its mission and purpose to the company’s values, and of course, the logo. And the results have been dramatic.
Ben led all of the customer facing aspects of the rebrand and has a great story to tell about the importance of Brand investment in a cluttered commodity category. It really is a tale of Energy made Wonderful! Originally from the UK, Ben has lived in New Zealand for the last 15 years and has held senior marketing roles at Farmers, ANZ and Mercury.
Jane Anthony — Z Energy
Building a kiwi brand
Jane is the General Manager, Marketing at Z Energy. She has been with Z for the past 7 and a half years and has been responsible for developing and building the Z brand and evolving the company's marketing accountability and maturity over this time. Prior to Z Jane was with Shell for 14 years in a variety of local and global brand, marketing and operations positions in NZ, Australia, the UK and Europe.
Jodi Williams — Air New Zealand
Reaching and engaging with customers in a fragmented marketplace
Jodi Williams is General Manager, Global Brand and Content Marketing at Air New Zealand. Since joining Air New Zealand, Jodi has held a number of roles at within Sales, Product Development & Marketing including the role of Director of Marketing for Air New Zealand in North America from 2007-2009. Jodi's ability to incorporate everything from reinvented user design to adventurously crafted storytelling has led to a string of high profile achievements for the Air New Zealand brand.
Jodi has led her team to create award winning brand communications that have driven a point of difference for Air New Zealand and translated into effective external marketing campaigns, resulting in a healthy & respected global brand.
Ian Sweeney — True
Creating brand stories
Ian started his careers at AMV/BBDO in London and has since worked at agencies like Publicis, Y&R and Wunderman in the UK and France. He moved to New Zealand in January 2015 to join True and enter a blissful creative partnership with Dom Antelme.
He's won a string of awards for his work with Rolls-Royce, Zurich Insurance, BMW and Royal Mail. To name just a few... But winning awards isn't what gets him out of bed in the morning. No, he loves doing meaningful work that brings about real change for brands.
Ian has also worked as a TV comedy writer, puppeteer, theatre director and is a proud father of two.
Invites have all now been sent for this conference.
